Spreo powers our retrospective process across all technical teams at The Skills Network. The list of templates is a great way to break up the monotony of 2 weekly Sprint Reviews by quickly pivoting into a different retrospective format without having to spend a long time setting up a new format. I’d recommend it to all teams.

Spreo makes workshops, plannings & retros easy and fun! The variety of templates is impressive, they are not only visually appealing but also very original. It has made facilitating complex dynamics like OKR planning much easier and more intuitive.

I love Spreo (and loved when it was Metro Retro previously) it’s my go-to tool for retrospectives. I use it consistently on my projects with delivery teams, and I also rely on it when teaching Business Analysts. It’s simple, engaging, and helps people open up and reflect honestly - which is exactly what a good retro needs. The little details (fun + structure) make a real difference. And CONFETTI of course!

As a Product Owner currently developing a tool for the French government, I have been and continue to be a strong advocate of Spreo. Its features are both innovative and genuinely user-centred, with a level of design quality that is consistently impressive. The support chat has also proved to be exceptionally responsive. I will continue to rely on Spreo for Scrum management and design thinking, and I even use several boards to organise my personal projects.

We love Spreo. We love it so much we did an in-person Spreo retro at our company team day with real confetti cannons and hats and it was everyone’s favourite part of the day.

We use our boards for every sprint retro and for whole team collaborations and we all love it.

The ability to wear hats, throw hats and pull the confetti canon provides a few moments of fun at the end of the meeting which we all also really enjoy. Its the simple things.

Spreo changed our lives at Product Madness. We were using physical post-its for our retrospectives before. It was slow, hard to read each other’s handwriting, and difficult to group and note down action items. We started using Spreo in the office and it was an amazing transformation.

We’re building an all-in-one platform for IT managers to manage their SaaS access, spend and vendors. Although we’re small, we are doing retros regularly, especially with Spreo. The UX is just fantastic. I really don’t like Miro, it’s so uninspired. Spreo is so much better for it. They reinvented a few UX things that just makes everything nicer to use. It’s a pleasure and fun to use it. Reminds me about Apple products in the early days. For instance, little details like everyone has a different writing font for their stickies. :-)

Our engineering team has used Spreo (formerly Metro Retro) for years. We love it! They’ve thought through all the small things that make a retro fun, as opposed to using a generic whiteboarding application. For us, it’s the small things. Hats, confetti, slaps. It makes retros super fun and engaging.

We are the dev team of the National Depository of Ukraine, and we use Spreo in our Scrum process for retrospectives.

Some team members work remotely and haven’t seen each other in months. The service successfully helps the team evaluate their work, share thoughts, and generate ideas for improving collaboration.

Thanks to the engaging retrospective templates, the team can discuss issues in an informal setting and suggest solutions. It really works!

Retrospectives in Spreo are a very important part of Scrum for our team!

We are a Germany based project management company in construction and digitalization. We are using Spreo for years already for our workshops, for retrospectives, for creative discussions and we could not be happier. We really enjoy the templates and the funny aspects like Christmas templates.

I’ve been using Spreo (formerly Metro Retro) for a year and I couldn’t be happier. After trying many other tools, the ease of use along with the ad-hoc features have made Spreo my go-to platform for my team’s retrospectives.

As a Scrum master, providing an intuitive tool really facilitates the input from the most shy team members and allows a greater readability when working with a remote team.

As a Founder in Residence at EF I have been doing loads of customer calls. Taking notes on those doesn’t really work well on Notion as you don’t have stickies to move around later and better organise your thoughts.

I tried Miro but it’s just so slow. I used to use Spreo (formerly Metro Retro) for retros at my previous company and I knew it was fast, and now I use it as my main “customer discovery note-taking” tool of choice!

I coach many different teams as an Agile coach and I’m always on the lookout for tools that genuinely enhance collaboration and efficiency.

The simplicity of Spreo is important. I’ve experimented with other whiteboards but they were overcomplicated, whereas the teams embraced Spreo without hesitation.

I run retrospectives and interactive training sessions but also use Spreo to analyze the root causes of problems (like the 5 Whys), structure meetings with Lean Coffee, use sprint planning poker for estimation, or just for a brainstorming session to identify or solve problems.

A lot of useful templates give us an opportunity to choose exactly what suits us for the end of sprint.

We use Spreo for our retrospectives, but also for loads of other meetings. The team loves it! They are having a lot of fun with the planning poker and personalizing the retro boards.

The emoji stickies are a particularly big hit, as is the confetti tool.

We have used it a couple times for brainstorming and team building as well, and it worked really really well!

For me, Spreo is the state-of-the-art tool for remote retrospectives. It is not complicated like other similar tools. The ability for people to write their notes in private before they share is really important for us.

We love Spreo and it has massively improved the quality of the retrospectives we were having.

At this point, I can’t fault it. I’ve used many types of tooling/apps for scrum team management and this one has been so intuitive, easy to pick up and ultimately engaging for team members (it has even won over the most sceptical members - they probably won’t admit it yet but v. impressive), it means it has gone down a storm.

Simply awesome tool for retros. Originally it hooked me with simplicity - it did not take much time to get the gist and start working. Also, it was quite reliable, can’t remember the time when it would not work or something would glitch. Also, and this is more of a personal preference, but I’m in love with the aesthetics of it. Templates have a common visual theme, everything looks nice and consistent. Like!

For my teams’ retrospectives I have been using Spreo for nearly 1 year and am very satisfied with this collaborative web app 👍

But now with their new upgrade to v2 it goes next level! So many new template options (eg ice breakers, Poker planning, T-shirt sizing, WoW). And also useful advanced facilitator controls within the boards plus optimized usability… big applause 👏

MediaWorks is a not-for-profit consultancy providing relevant print and digital media to Christian ministries. We are using Spreo for our biweekly Scrum Sprint Retrospectives for a web-based product we are building. Spreo gives us a fit-to-purpose tool for retrospectives.

Instead of using a generic whiteboarding tool, we are able to take advantage of the functionality you want during retrospectives. I especially like private stickies feature and each person being in full control of what they share and when. Voting on stickies is easy. Capturing action items is easy. Having a visible timer countdown is excellent. Confetti and similar add some fun to it all.

Work should be efficient and fun and Spreo gives that to us for the 2 hours per month we are in retrospective events.

I’ve been using Spreo for many years with several teams. It brings joy to our meetings which is very hard online (the confetti is a great idea). I like the fast and effective creation of new boards also.

Spreo always worked flawlessly, it’s fast and does exactly what we need. There are always new or improved features, new board templates. We tried many other similar products, but at the end we came back to Spreo.

Spreo improves the way I work.

There are constant requests to ‘facilitate a meeting for a topic’ and it doesn’t matter what is asked for, I know I can build a board for that. If you want to have a very structured, formally-designed meeting, Spreo has tools for that. Or if you want to have a bit of a free for all, figure it out as you go meeting, there are tools for that too.

I’ve been using Spreo for retrospectives with my team for years, since the first version, and I can honestly say that it’s THE BEST tool available. No doubt.

I am a collaborative processes designer and facilitator, working for french organizations, both public and private.

In 2020, when face-to-face meetings had to stop because of the pandemic, I was looking for the most efficient solution to run remote workshops. And I found it!

Of all the apps I tested, Spreo is the best suited for my needs and those of my clients. It’s just the perfect tool to easily create well-designed boards and engage people online. And I can’t wait for the next features (yes, it’s still improving!) Rich and simple, performant and fun: Spreo has it all!

Spreo has just the right amount of functionality for my needs. It does a lot but not so much that it becomes clunky and confusing.

Spreo was exactly what we needed to unleash our creativity and engage effectively with our teams.

Since 2021, we jumped on the new version and its advanced functionalities. It helps us to run not only Retros now, but all kind of Workshops and Trainings - internally, with customers, or with guests.

Spreo is great for Retros! But also any feedback-focused workshop, making them similar to face-to-face ones.

I am a Scrum Master and have relied on Spreo for many things.

It first started out as a way to get the team to interact and be present in Retros but it has turned into a multi use platform for me. We use it for brainstorming, gathering our thoughts and ideas, Retros, etc. The ability to create your own “template” so to speak does wonders! In a time where we are mostly remote this has been a huge necessity & tool to keep the team engaged and bond as a team.

I’ve been told multiple times by team members that this is their favorite meeting, the Retros! I recommend and talk about Spreo as a great tool in my toolbox any chance I get.

I have worked as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach for the last 12 years. During the Corona Pandemic I was forced to move my regular meetings from on site to virtual. At the beginning it was strange and rather chaotic but with time it started to flow. My biggest fear was doing a retrospective online. Its not like i havent had teams working around the world, I know that working without face to face has its deficits. Ive learned to work with it. Spreo has done so much to help me in this respect

I am using the tool for the past year and it’s amazing! the ability of it to connect teams over contonants and regions helped us so much especially since we are WFH now. The only thing we are missing is the ability to actually save our templates for reuse, we have designed some templates fitting for our workshops and needs and we need some more fire power to share them with others :-)

@Jamiehanratty Man I love metro retro, I intro’d it at the last place I worked and we all adopted it for retros - the confetti is a nice touch and it used to slow my bosses old (old) laptop to a crawl so the whole team would confetti him if he got annoying 😂

This is about the best tool I’ve used so far.. even mailed the maker what we could do to keep it up and running because it supports a lot of the work I do. As a company we would gladly pay some subscription for it.

Awesome way to conduct retros online, feels and looks like a very well developed product that is very fun and easy to use!

Really nice tool, simple to use with funny features. I like the way we can group ideas with a boarder adjusting automatically, it is fun to see others moving around the board, use of emoticons is great, vote phase easy, highlight of one participant sticky notes, an on/off arrow to show the topic we are discussing… very smart yet simple. Bravo !

Metro Retro allows my team to collaborate effectively from anywhere with internet connectivity - the ability to export all the comments saves us writing meeting minutes while using the reactions and confetti makes boring retrospectives more engaging and enjoyable!
